Matt Dalessio Fights Back!

Who's Matt Dalessio?

Former standout Cherokee track athlete, Matt Dalessio, 2003, was one of the top Shot Put athletes in school history and he currently coaches track (and wrestling) at Ewing High School. Recently, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is currently in treatment needing both Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy.

Showing the character that has always made him such a great athlete and an outstanding person, Matt is undertaking a fundraising event to help children afflicted with cancer. If you would like to show support for Matt and help in a great cause, donations can be made to Matt's St. Baldrick's fundraising pages at: St. Baldrick's.

GO MATT!

Matt's senior year was the first year for this website and, primative as they are, here are several "point-and-shoot" pictures skimmed from our first year's pages!

Matt and his teams met on February 6th to participate in the "headshaving" and raise funds for childhood cancer research! They raised quite a bit of money and the site is still open for donations! Here are a few pictures showing Cherokee's Track Coach Chris Lynn and Matt at the Ewing St. Baldrick's site:
