Track & Field Comments and Pictures, 2016

This section will be divided into a number of pages as the Winter and Spring Track seasons progress:

I. Page I includes comments on and pictures from the Early Winter Season, December, 2015 through mid-January, 2016, with meets at the Bennett Center in Toms River and the Armory in New York City. GO CHIEFS!

II. Page II includes comments on and pictures from the Late Winter Season, January, 2016 through February, 2016, with meets at the Bennett Center in Toms River and at Cherokee High School. GO CHIEFS!

III. Page III includes comments on and pictures from the Early Spring Season, late-March through mid-April, 2016, starting with the Adrenaline 5K (Mar 19th, Haddonfield), the traditional Spring send-off event run by Cherokee's distance squad; and the Timber Creek and Haddon Heights Scrimmage (Mar 23rd, at Cherokee). After that, the season officially begins with the first relay meet, The Don Danser Memorial Relays (April 2nd, Maple Shade H.S.); the Crusader Frosh-Novice Meet (April 15th, at Bishop Eustace H.S.); and the Eagle Relay Invitational (April 16th, Central Regional H.S.). IV. Page IV includes comments on and pictures from Mid-Spring Season, mid-April through the beginning of May, 2016, starting with the Woodbury Relays (April 16th, Woodbury); and the Washington Township H.S. Dual Meet (April, 19th at Cherokee); followed by Cherokee Night Racing # 1, 3200's (April 21st at Cherokee H.S.); the postponed Bridgeton Relays (April 23rd at Bridgeton H.S.); Richard's Run (April 24th, Cooper River Park); the Penn Relays (April 29th and 30th at Franklin Field in Philadelphia); and the SJ Open (May 5th at Delsea H.S.). V. Page V includes comments on and pictures from the Late Spring Season, early May through Mid-May, 2016, starting with the South Jersey Relays (May 7th at Egg Harbor Township H.S.); the Eastern Regional H.S. Dual Meet (May 9th); the District Cup (May 11th at Seneca H.S.); the Cherokee Novice Meet (May 16th at Cherokee); and the first of the championship meets, the Olympic Conference Championships (May 17th at Washington Township H.S.). VI. Page VI includes comments on and pictures from the Early Championship Season, Mid-May, 2016, beginning with, the Cherry Hill H. S. East Dual Meet (postponed from April 26th to May 19th at Cherokee) for the Division Championship; followed by the Burlington County Championships, (May 21st at Rancocas Valley H.S.); Haddonfield Distance Night (May 24th at Haddonfield Memorial H.S.); and the Eustace Throwers Meet, May 25th at Bishop Eustace Preparatory H.S. VII. Page VII includes comments on and pictures from the Late Championship Season, Late-May through early June, 2016, starting with the Group IV Sectional Championships, May 27th and 28th at Egg Harbor Township H.S.; Cherokee Night Racing #2, 1600s, 800's and SSMR (May 31st at Cherokee); and the NJ State Group IV Championships, (June 3rd and 4th at Egg Harbor Township H.S.). In addition, certain sprint and distance runners will participate in the NJ International Invitational (June 11th at Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ), and the New Balance Nationals (June 17th - June 19th, Greensboro, NC).
